Native to South Africa and Angola, this African daisy looks brushed in vibrant stripes of yellow, orange and red. The subject in this image was growing in our backyard garden. The mother plant is rather non-descript with short grayish green leaves, but they make an ideal ground cover in Mediterranean climates. When this plant first bloomed, I knew the flower would be an interesting subject for my work. The image captures the beauty of this flower perfectly.
